Description
A cycling tour between Monte Faito and Mountain Comune takes you on a journey through the unspoiled nature and breathtaking views of Campania. The route begins with the climb to Monte Faito, with its ancient name "Monte Aureum", has always been a point of reference for the Sorrento Peninsula. Its name derives from the dialect term "faggeto", precisely because the territory is rich in beech trees. In the past, this mountain was considered sacred and a place of worship, where you can enjoy a spectacular view of the Gulf of Naples and Vesuvius, surrounded by centuries-old beech forests and fresh mountain breezes. Continuing, you will reach Monte Comune,
known for its cross, a symbol of union between the two gulfs.
Once you arrive at Croce sui Due Golfi, you will find yourself facing a unique spectacle: on one side the Gulf of Naples, with Vesuvius watching over the city, on the other the Gulf of Salerno, with the Amalfi Coast extending towards the south. Nature shows itself in all its beauty, with paths immersed in the Mediterranean scrub and panoramic points that offer unforgettable glimpses of the Sorrento peninsula and views of Sant'Agata sui due Golfi and Positano.
